Hi all, just wanted to tell you about a campsite in Penzance called stream valley holiday park. The couple who own it are amazing!! It’s a very small site but perfect, it’s very new and clean. It has washing machines, tumble dryers, fridges. It’s £25 a night with water and electric.

1 mile from the centre,
£5:20 in the taxi
£2:90 on the bus.
very easy walk if your feeling fit.

You’ve left the tap running!!;):giggle:
Looks like it’s in a great location.

Easy to get in and out of? Tight turns, small pitches, narrow access road?

Very easy to get in and out of, my van is 7.5 long and I had no problems.

I was trying to work out where the fuse box is for the window washers lol

£25 a night, they would cry over £5 a night on here. Haha
I was more concerned at the "£2,90 bus fare" ???? Frightening .Last bus I used it was 5p from East Ham fire station to Woolwich Ferry.:giggle:

Over half a century ago .... and you were a child then.

Nowadays all London transport is cashless and the the minimum credit you can put on an London Oyster card is £40.
For most, £40 will not cover you for a working 5 day week on the busses, even with fare capping.

We used to ride the 122 from Bexleyheath bus garage all the way to Crystal Palace bus depot on a Saturday for 10 pence each way. Great afternoon out...cheap entertainment for us kids then... top deck, smoking in the back seats... ah those were the days

Yes for the hassle of an Oyster card it’s easier to Uber or black cab. Not that I plan on going there again anytime soon.

No one uses Oyster cards now, you just use your contactless card, or electronic device to pay.

But more than 3 million people use London Public transport A DAY,

So very few use Oyster cards.

You forget we are talking visitors from Norfolk. Haha
I only know as my wife told me. I won’t go into the place, and if I do, I drive. I don’t do public transport, I hate it.

For visitors, an Oyster card would definitely be the wrong way to pay.

When my Dutch relatives visit I give them a couple of Oyster cards that we have. You can put any amount on them. There is no minimum. I put £10 on each for them to get them started.
