Hope this has not been aired before , just received email from Gov.UK when returning from Anywhere abroad everyone even "Travel Corridor" ( although there are a few exceptions) must fill in Passenger Locator form you can fill in up to 48 hours before return, everyone in vehicle must fill in forms, and you can add anyone under 18 if that makes sense. if you don't fill in forms online you are committing an offence and could be fined , I think that's the gist of it ,

Locator forms was the case since summer last year. We had to fill in each time we came back to UK.

Oops. Missed that when we returned in October.

Got bumped off my flight from Munich in September as me and loads of others had not heard about this and Lufthansa never told anyone!!
Flew back to Heathrow the next morning arrived at the terminal and a chap asked if I had it then waved me through.
October we collected our van in Germany drove to the tunnel went to show our forms we had filled out on our phones the night before and they never asked or were interested.
Just another thing to waste people’s time as you could pretty much fill out what you wanted and they won’t check it.

Me and her went to a great deal of trouble to fill in ours on the way back from Germany last year (mostly because we were concerned that with a two week quarantine required of people coming in from France we would need to evidence that we hadn't stopped there). Tried to show them at the UK immigration desk on the French side of Le Shuttle and again on the UK side. No one was remotely interested . . . . . Just saying.

We filled it in when we came back from Germany in October, never got asked or where we had been.

They are not for the border, never need to show the form. You fill it on line, make a copy for yourself and wait to be contacted by track and trace. Where appropriate, they check if you are obeying the quarantine. We have done it two times and in both cases had to quarantine. I can’t live looking over my shoulder so I did exactly what the law required.

We are travelling back Wednesday week and it is getting very stressful. Get a negative test in France 72 hours before boarding. Book a day 2 & day 8 test £420 then fill out passanger locator form. We will quarantine on private land, will the postman find us with the tests. We are not allowed off the land how do we go to post office to return tests. It does not really work out and so many things can go wrong. What if our internet access is nor good enough and all the other problems that could arise. Make a mistake and two times £10,000 fines. There was no COVID when we left the UK.

I guess on the locator forms has to be a valid address including postcode. Once you booked your tests, the reference goes on the forms so they are linked. When you book the tests, fill in a Contact no so you can be contacted if necessary to help with delivery location. I was under the impression that tests will be collected by the same delivery service? Collection should be booked with the tests as well as the delivery? Not sure.

We will be filling in a DEA form when we arrive in Frankfurt on 22nd. In fact the airline have to see it before you board. Not sure if they will ask for it but at least it will be available if they do. Onwards to UK 11 days later the required form will be filled along with the required PCRs, once again if they ask it will be available. have to conform eh............even if............never mind,

I returned from Spain on Wednesday afternoon from Santande.
I took an antigen test on Monday (within 72 hours of departure).
Booked the two tests to be taken on return via the gov website on Tuesday £210. The reference from this is then used when completing the Passenger Locator form which I did Wednesday morning (within 48 hours of arrival in UK).
At Santander I was asked for negative test certificate and Passenger Locator form.
At Portsmouth I was asked for negative test certificate, Passenger Locator form and receipt for purchase of the two tests.
On arrival at my quarantine site in uk the test kits had been delivered by Royal Mail 24 hour tracked. The enclosed instructions say to post back completed tests at a Royal Mail priority postbox (see below). I hope that helps.

Following on from my post above - it does say if you are unable to get to a priority postbox you can book a courier collection by calling the Customer contact centre on 119

We have confirmed our Emirates flight to Frankfurt 1 week from today. Hotel in Frankfurt confirmed for 11 nights.
That's the easy bit.

Glad to hear that everything went smoothly. (y)

There have been a fair number of complaints about the company running this operation - CTM - on Facebook and Twitter. I’m not too bothered about them failing to send out the tests as it seems easy enough to get these direct from the NHS on 119.

However, there have been a number of travellers who have paid and received an email with a confirmation code (six letters) but then never receive another email containing the invoice number (seven numbers). Apparently this invoice number is the one that has to be entered on the PLF. If you receive the confirmation code but not the invoice number, the only way to get CTM to deal with it is through Twitter as they don’t seem to respond to phone, email or Facebook messages. If you are unable to get the invoice number it may be sufficient to use the confirmation code on the PLF instead, but it is suggested that you present a printout of this confirmation email along with the PLF (if you happen to have a printer in your van .....). By now the Border Force should hopefully be aware of this issue.

Can I ask if it is possible to pay for the test package by credit card, or only by debit card?

They checked our locator forms at the border? Still waiting for phone call lol .

I see it is no longer obligatory to use the NHS Test & Trace shambles called CTM

Since 11th March - latest update - other providers / suppliers are available for the Days 2 & 8 tests

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/provide...oronavirus-testing-for-international-arrivals

Some of the other providers are also CHEAPER than the NHS Test & Trace shambles

Pays your money, takes your choice, I know where my money WONT be going

I had heard the bad reports about CTM so paid by credit card which was no problem.
The PLF and receipt for tests were checked at Portsmouth (on phone as no printer on van) together with negative test certificate.
I received a phone call on the first day of quarantine to check up on me. I have done and returned the first test and got a negative result texted and emailed back last night, so the system seems to be working for me so far.

That’s very interesting, thank you for that - and well spotted. (y)

We will certainly not now be using the NHS/CTM package.

It has nothing to do with the NHS, they just label the workers to cover up their incompetence.

Why do they insist on calling it NHS test and trace ? Nothing to do with NHS . Is it to give it some credence ?

Thanks for the info. There are several providers on that list charging £190 instead of £210 so that's £40 saved for the 2 of us.

Can anyone on here recommend somewhere in Spain for pcr near the French border crossing of Perpignan. We need this to enter France i believe...
