Well done with that. I'm waiting for the doc to ring me to pick up the D4. They don't go through the form with you! Had to book a separate visit for blood pressure (120\80) and my blood sugar is down from 44 to 40. Eyesight test at optician's went well. Only downside was they rumbled the charge. Ann had hers done earlier in the year and was charged £30, me, £80!! Mike

I am pleased that the Doctor thinks you have 'passed'.

I do not wish to 'rain on your parade' but the Doctor only records what he finds in answer to the D4 questions, most of which info comes from the patient unless one's own doctor has your notes to hand.

The final decision on whether the information results in a pass or fail rests with DVLA and their medical 'specialists'.
When you look at the completed D4 you will not find a Pass/Fail section.

If it is another doctor than your own GP without your notes, DLVC May/will write to your registered GP and verify the records. And IF there is a discrepency will not issue the licence but call you for a checking. I could pass an ordinary examination Medical, but when they go through the records there is no way they will pass me owing to previous problems on those records. Regardless of how long ago they will ask for verification and copies of consultant notes Hospital results etc. They are dead funny over it ever since the Moron lied about his blackouts and killed six when the dustcart careered through Glasgow street. The crack down was a kneejerk as always. The old man with the caravan going down the M40 will bring even more.

I don’t doubt this will raise some debate but I think it will be a different one. He was probably towing on a BE license which I believe is only subject to the self certified health questionnaire. Not a C1 issue with medical reports.
