Looking to visit the White Cliffs of Dover tomorrow. Anyone know of somewhere safe & suitable to park a 7m motorhome for an hour or 2? More than happy to pay if need be.
Thanks

Pay my goodness!
When you say visit is it to view or walk.
To view Caple Le Ferne the old road that parallels the old A20.
Plenty of places.
No charge.
If you say where your coming from I can give a better steer

Its just for an hour or 2. Streach the legs and enjoy the view

Coming from Canterbury

The Coastguard public house allows overnight parking in exchange for buying a meal and drinks in the pub. Stunning views of the English Channel and France. The staff are extremely welcoming and the food is good quality. The access road is steep downhill since track with passing places, however we managed without too many difficulties in a 7m motorhome.

Marine parade Dover sea front ,East end , pay and display day charges, I believe after 18.00 it may be free.

The Coast guard only worth visiting if you need to see Ian Flemings home (James Bond Fame)

I see theres a National Trust centre and parking which mentions motorhomes for £7

From Canterbury A2 down into Dover pass along the seafront joining the A20 towards Folkestone. Climbing past the Western Docks straight ahead at both roundabouts, passing Samphire Ho until the next slip road take it. At the roundabout first exit continue until the 40 mph limit. First road on your left goes along the Cliff top, plenty of places to stop.
No cost fabulous views.
Cafe halfway along as well.
I live not far away!

You can't park a motorhome or caravan on Dover sea front from 9am - 6pm any more, they are banned. You can from 6pm - 9am but it now costs a tenner!

Lovely walk along the cliffs, first time ever. Warm, dry and bright but sadly a bit misty. Amazing how easily it is to lose track of the time and just sit and watch the activity at the ferry port. Lovely cafe at the NT centre there.

Hi Crazy Grandad here,
If you are a member of the National Trust you can park on the White Cliffs of Dover for nothing we have done it afew times before. Our MoHo is 7.21mtrs long & was not a problem for us. Hope the weather is good for you.

You can walk from the memorial, along the cliff tops to the National Trust tearoom above the Dover docks. It’s about 8 miles round trip.

When we visited it was free to park as the cliffs are owned by the National Trust, it's a lovely walk across the cliffs also halfway between the NT entrance and the lighthouse there is a bunker that takes you into the face off the cliffs I won't tell you what you will find it will be a big surprise.
Also when you leave the port area up the hill on dual carriageway look to your left you will see a tunnel with traffic lights go through that (another big supprise.enjoy
