Wells.... Forget it. You may be allowed to but if you are full sized motorhome there is nowhere.

I once parked on Halfords tiny car park because they allowed me to after purchasing bike for little grandaughter.

Sometimes, if lucky, there are places on the bus station.

Don't know how old you are but if free bus pass, try Glastonbury and get the bus into Wells..

Hope you get lucky.

It is possible to park along the end of Exmouth sea front (passed the Life Boat station) during the day but not overnight.

I stayed at the Maer rd site in Exmouth. It is at the end of the esplanade, no facilities but nr public toilets. A little train thing takes you into town and back for a couple of £. I saw this article

You can park at the Exmouth park and ride over night next to the train station and on the front near to the train station

I was there about 3 weeks ago, cost is about £6 for 24hrs by ring go

If visiting Wells we either go by car, or stay in the Wells Touring Park campsite (adults only) which is within walking distance and on a bus route.

Wells is parking hell which is bizarre for such a tourist magnet.
