We have planned a trip to various places in South Devon at the beginning of May. We have booked a little CL just outside of Salcombe for one night on Saturday May 7th. Can anyone please recommend a good place for m/h ( 6.5m) just during the day in Salcombe itself? I see there is a council operated park and ride at Bonfire Hill but the website says it has a 2.2m height limit which is no good for us.

You could try North Sands car park and either walk in or get the amphibian shuttle into the town.
I don't think there are height restrictions there but obviously check first.

Looking like the 45 mins walk ( according to Google maps) in to town from the CL is best bet I think.

Do not, repeat, do not try to take a motorhome down the lane to Salcombe!
My in laws live there so I know the village well.
Walk or cycle from CL would be best bet.

Actually Richard Shadycombe car park is accessible and looking on street view it has no height barrier. Though it might be worth talking to South Hams District Council regarding any other restrictions. Else it’s back to the taxi.
