Hi there - we are thinking of a tour from our home in the highlands of Scotland down to Southampton.
We are away on a cruise (for 7 nights) and need somewhere to leave our Motorhome near ish to the cruise terminal while we are away.
I‘ve been in touch with a few “car parks” in the area, but none of them will take a Motorhome despite ours being just under 6 mts.

Would welcome any ideas or insider knowledge
Many thanks

Hi and welcome I don't know for sure but there are a few campsites around here they may let you store it on site for a fee

Maybe someone on here lives in Southampton and has a nice big drive (y)

Take a look at "cruise parking marchwood" they appear to use minibus to transport to docks so maybe no height barrier

I can’t see a reason why you couldn’t park right at the cruise terminal parking, did you ask your cruise provider? I went on a Royal Caribbean cruise and saw plenty of biggish vans in the carpark, it’s huge and looks like a safe location?

Thanks Euromobil - I’ll look them up 👍👍

Hi Dutch 68 - We are with Princess and they weren’t any help with this 😢

Hmmm what a shame, maybe you would have more luck if you contacted the port authority directly ? At a guess they regulate and own the parking area’s ?

Sunnydale Farm caravan site advertise they are 15 minutes from the cruise terminal, so may have some sort of arrangement. What I do know is that they know how to charge, we stayed there when helping our son move.

Sunnydale have plenty of space, but at a price, and Viscount Caravans in Hamble have a safe storage facility.

Back in January we contacted Body Farm cl for 3 weeks of storage, he wanted about £5 night from memory Body Farm CL , we went for secure storage in Romsey that worked out better for us.

Try Associated British Ports at Southampton Docks - they say under FAQs for motorhomes - "Space permitting we do permit passengers to park vehicles other than a standard size car, however this would need to be arranged in advance and is subject to availability. Please call or email our team if this is required at parking@abports.co.uk or Telephone: 02380 488870 during core operating hours".
I have seen motorhomes parked there for one my cruises!
Cheers

I'd have thought there was room enough for a compact moho at Ocean Cruise terminal although it depends which terminal you are using. Whether it's cost effective.... Apart from a long weekend mini-cruise, when I used the above-mentioned parking, I've always had a lift both ways from my brother. I just ring him when our disembarkation is called. By the time I've collected cases and exited the terminal, I only have five or te=n minutes to wait.
