On our Autotrail we have a large panaramic heki type window/roof light.Over time the night blinds and fly net have got more and more difficult to push/pull open or shut. They are now almost imppssible.Has anyone got any tips haw we can sort this or any instructions how to take it apart to see whats going on.Many thanks in advance.

Runners are probably dry and dusty, if you can reach give them a wipe with a damp cloth then spray with silicon lubrication like for the toilet flap or WD40, wipe up an surplus to save drips! I hope this helps.

Thanks but i have trued that and its no better.I think the problem is in the mechanism rather than along the runners. Many thanks for your help.

This is exactly like mine.Found the picture on ebay.Looks like you have to remove 6 screws and then it should😩come apart.

Not much to go wrong with them really,on ours the little plastic tabs holding the string in place used to break😠 but were super glueable back into place.👍 I used furniture polish on ours, don't use WD40 as it will swell the plastic 😟

All sorted, much to my surprise. The drawer strings we re as tight as piano wires so i slackened them off by loosening a small screw(one at each side) and slackening the tension off and retightening them again. To my shock and delight it worked! Can only think they must have been like that from day 1!.Another Saturday afternoon well spent. If any poor bugger has the same issue get in touch.I am an expert😬😬

Hi,

If still have a problem, TRY

Mr sheen silicon polish.

3 in 1 Silicon spray lubricant

Trust me, sprayed on the runner of ant curtain/tracked system, you'll find a big difference

Works on door locks, toilets, etc etc. However ..... Never Use WD40 on ANYTHING plastic.
