Since 2001 (really!)
Has anyone had Paint Seal protection on their motorhome, would it be worth it at all please?

Our Bolero was done when we bought it at 2 years old, a 2007 plate. Generally has lasted well!!

The only problem we had is the common one where the paint on the bonnet started flaking off (due to wrong primer) and had it completely stripped and repainted.

However it's no protection for stone chips etc.

No I used Tourshine same sort of treatment but cheaper ( not a franchise so he can charge less)
www.tourshine.co.uk Is it worth it, yes because all you need to do is wash down with Autoglym auto cleaner no need to polish and it stops your paint from fading.

Try this

that looked interesting if a tad £££ for the restoration, until i read this in their description of work to be carried out:-

"We will restore as far as you can see from the ground. All roofs are left perfectly clean, but we won't machine polish the actual flat part of the roof."

Cannot comment on restoration cost or the fact that they don’t polish the roof as mine was brand new when I asked them to do it. But I assume that a full restoration including roof would take 2 days and would become unprofitable. It would be worth asking Peter the business owner.

They tend to use Autoglm products look on line and work out if your time about 2 hours and the product about £40 is worth the price the dealer is asking, usually about a £300 mark up, but if it fails bring it in and we will re apply, If you are fit and able do it yourself and save a fortune!

We had Tourershine on our previous van and funnily enough he is booked to do our current van on the 11th Jan Covid permitting. Nick reckons it made cleaning the van much easier, I have no idea and I have no intention of finding out but it always looks sparkly unlike my car!

Also looked at Tourershine but for my money if they are not going to include the roof, it's easier to do it myself. The roof is probably the most important part to get cleaned and protected.

What makes you think he will not do the roof? He did mine and it’s so much easier to keep clean.

That's what I did but it takes a while le to do well.

It'll be like polishing the roof of the Millennium Falcon
