Hello,

I am trying to find out the paint code for my van, it is a Ford transit base but has no colour code in the door tag.

Under the bonnet on the slam panel I have a colour tag listing 99 Fiat white DSL. There are a few other numbers and letters at the top but none of these seem to correlate with a specific paint code.

Does anyone know what colour this is ( I know its white :) ) and have a code....don't want to have to drive it somewhere to have the paint scanned if I don't need to.

cheers

Mark

Mark740 .... can you post a photo of the plate?

I know Ford used Diamond White but it had a few variants, codes like BK3 & FBP

Plate should be something like this:

Is that from inside the passenger door ? as mine has no entry on the paint code box :-( . I did also check the VIN number on the FORD checker and no code was listed.

I have compounded the bonnet and wings and to me they look like ford diamond white but I have this Tag on my slam panel.

B7 could also refer to Diamond White ..... code B, 7 is the model year.
However, after 46 years working with automotive paint, I can tell you the number of "variants" for this colour (as with most colours) is pretty large.
If you have an auto paint supplier local, either Glasurit, R-M, PPG, etc take the vehicle to them and have them check the variant against their colour variant chips.
Hope this helps.

I suppose it is possible that the 99 Fiat white is just the colour of the body. The body paint doesn't look as brilliant white as the cab so certainly possible.

Very helpful much appreciated :drinks:
