Over 70's driving licence renewal for vehicles over 3.5 tons

There is a petition to government to review the over 70 driving licence renewal procedure for vehicles over 3.5 tons, presently the petition appears to be well short to the 100,000 signatures which are required to enable it to be debated in parliament. I urge all that will be affected who are approaching 70 years of age and those of us who are already 70 who are currently affected by this legislation to sign this petition. I see nothing wrong with the legislation as it stands, and I am over 70.

Whilst I am in favour of change, (signed previously) The one resevation of course is that any change WILL also change the Level of VED currently levied and on any NEW catagory could be at a substantially higher rate. Making the current B-B1 catagory max out at (say) 4tonne, would be a (far) better option
