Just tried to book Wolverly Camping & Caravanning Club site in July. 9m x 2.3m tag axle, no awning, no electric, grass pitch!

£47.40 per night for 2 with ACR discount!

Pitch now gone anyway but that’s ridiculous!

I'm booked in for one night at the Salisbury CCC site the week after next - grass no electric and just £13.30 which struck me as very reasonable, although it is just me which saves a bit.

Sorry, I think something must have gone wrong there, I’ve just tried to book 7 nights in July, no electric grass pitch, 2 acr, and it’s £192, less than £30 per night. I’d try again.

Both CAMC and CACC have issued lots of words regarding reduction in pitch prices, but in reality it seems more expensive this year. Just paid £92 fortwo nights at Broadway…..Grrrr

Puts my holidays to shame,
4 Nights (Monday to Friday) at Haven Caister in a Bronze home in March/April was £47 total.
Now off to Skegness for a 4 day break,, again Monday to Friday, in a saver home in May £86 total.
That is just right as we return from a week in Cape Verde the week before.
Now I know why I sold the Moho.

Stayed just outside Roscoff last night, no facilities but EHU included, 14 Euros Now in the Dordogne, site a bit tired but Wi-Fi, EHU, shower and loo (clean) on the river bank, 900M to town and paying 85 euros for 3 nights.
OK the ferry from Plymouth was a bit pricy (£800) 8m with dog in cabin bit the best Bordeaux on offer in super market for just under 7 euro (£25 in UK)
I can’t believe what people in the UK are charging, and getting.
Last CL was £25, Pentlepoir near Tenby and was v good but I ain’t prepared to be any more than that.
I’ll Britstop it and get some beer for my money!

We did a holiday in Cape Verde March last year. Very cheap for 11 nights, all inclusive, on the beach etc etc but I was bored to tears - never again!

I can't understand why they (C&MC and C&CC) continue to call themselves "clubs", site prices are outrageous, some rules ridiculous and an annual fee to join. Much better value on small independent sites and Aires.

Better than that was a 17 night re-positional cruise from Barbados to Palma with 7 stops on the way. All inclusive
Never get bored with a good book and at my age peace and quiet is what I want.

CCC, depending on the warden can be funny about length, my van is 200mm longer than the standard 8mtr pitch, not usually a problem overhanging the back of the pitch by 8 inches but I got moaned at for booking online at 8mtrs, he didn't charge me extra though. He was a new to that site warden, the lady warden who knew me from previous stays came along later and apologised. CAMC pitches are 9mtrs usually so not a problem with them but more expensive then CCC.
