my compressor is having troubles starting so i suspect capacitor does the replacement have to match the uf rating would it cause problems if i fitted one with a higher uf rating ie 60 to 70 would it be beneficial in any way ?

been searching ebay for a replacement can anyone explain the three number code on them mine is 40/085/21 but i cant find similar numberes on any for sale

I have had similar problems with a compressors before
it is usually the residual pressure valve that does not release pressure to allow a restart
if the pipe from cylinder head is under pressure it can cause the motor to stall this is a common fault
if it’s working once the compressor is up to full psi and motor stops you should hear a hiss as discharges delivery pipe
if the compressor starts easily when main tank is fully discharged it could be Same fault

As above - crack the nut of the pipe to the head.It will release the pressure of the head and it should start.
Or just disconnect it entirely from the tank and then try it.

thanks another job for tommorow
