Hi,
I know that this question was asked before in the past, but there didn’t seem to be a conclusive answer.
When towing a toad on a trailer, should you have a Tow sign on the back, my thoughts are if that was the case, why don’t caravans have one?

If the car is towed on it's own wheels, yes. To warn other drivers. On a trailer or truck, no, as the tow vehicle lights are on the trailer / truck

Trailers have triangular reflectors. That’s how drivers know they are behind a trailer. The number plate board should have triangular reflectors on it.

If one is using a motor vehicle on a road as a trailer(ie toad) why would a sign advertising the fact that it is in fact a motor vehicle be of benefit.

It can't be both.
