Hi. We're on site at North Ledaig and have a problem with the water.

We're in a Knauss Sky Ti with a Truma Combi 6E water system. The pitch isn't level and initialy we chocked to the max and thought it would be ok - usually we have problems draining the shower, but that was ok. However, it appears that the water pump wasn't able to get water despite the tank being 90% full, and the water stopped flowing through the taps or toilet. We've now repositioned and are level, but can't get the water pump working again. We've checked the drain valve and tried turning everything off and back on again.

Anyone had any similar problems in the past? I'm assuming the Truma system has turned off due to lack of water, but I can't see anything in the manuals or online about how to get it working again.

Hopefull that someone can help!

Thanks

No, pump isn't working. Have called out an engineer for the morning. Grateful we're on a site with facilities!

Showing our ignorance, but where do the codes show?
We've also realized that we're not level on our drive where we store the MH, and that we've never had an issue with the water or pump when cleaning there.

even if the truma switches off due to lack of water and the overheat trip has activated the pump to the taps and toilet should still operate.

i assume all fuses are good.

Since the pump doesn't appear to be running, it seems like that is the culprit. Hadn't really realised that it was different to the Truma system. Can't see anything obvious in the fuse area, so hopefully the engineer will spot the fault. Everthing was fine this morning on a different site.

Thanks for your help everyone :giggle:

Please dont take this the wrong way but as youre new.

On the panel the light is on for water pump to be able to work ? You should have something similar for interior lights (or it is on mine)

Is the pump in the tank or external to the tank, under furniture etc.
If its external can you get a multimeter on the supply wires.
Even if the pump is 'open circuit' you'll still have 12v at the pump terminals.
If its internal it may have an airlock, turn on a tap then remove the big bung on the tank, reach in and find the pump,
Give the pump a good whack a few times on the tank side... That should remove any air trapped in the pump

Thansk Suavecarve, and no offence taken. Yes, that light is on. We had a very good handover when we got the MH from the dealer, and we videod it and took notes, so have checked the panel and also the safety drain in the utility cupboard.

Pappajohn, thanks for the thoughts. Not really sure where the pump is to be honest. We did try sucking the air out of the shower hose (as suggested on other threads), but we just got a mouthful of water! The light is failing here now, so we're happy to wait until the engineer rescues us, and I'll take copious notes and ask all the right questions!

For now, we've decided to camp in the MH and enjoy the beach views from our fabulous pitch right on the front!

Thanks again everyone!
