Can anyone assist me this warning light has come up when first starting just had it serviced

Hope they haven't forgotten to a. Refill with oil... b. Not refitted sump plug ...

Are you able to check oil level with dipstick?

Lack of oil sounds the most likely cause.
Let us know if your garage has dropped a bo##ock

If its just flashing for about 30 seconds after starting the engine then the garage has failed to reset the computer and the warning is telling you that the oil is old and needs changing! Nothing to worry about. We drove back from Italy with this happening....we checked the oil level first! Go back to the garage and ask them to reset it.

How long have you had the vehicle and is this the first oil change you have had? And how many miles has it done?

Had vehicle for about a year 1st service and oil change has done only 4000 miles

As I'm sure know you need to get it checked by a garage. It could be a simple electrical fault and if the vehicle has only done 4000 miles since new then the engine isn't going to worn out. The cynic in me was thinking originally the previous owner might have filled it with a thicker oil to mask a low oil pressure problem. Now it has the correct oil the problem reveals itself - but if the vehicle hasn't done many miles this shouldn't be the cause. :)

The oil light tells you that the engine does not have sufficient oil pressure.

This is normally due to.
Not enough oil in engine
Engine components worn so can’t maintain its pressure
Incorrect oil
Oil too thin as it far too hot
Faulty pressure switch, or it wires

If just serviced, and you’ve checked the level, I would want to confirm that correct grade of oil has been used. If it was I would worry that they (them who had serviced it) had not started the engine whilst it didn’t have oil in it causing severe damage.

Service light has not been reset, as lomg as it goes out after 30 seconds dont worry about it my van was like that untill my mate had an update on his scanner and then he could reset it
