Oil leak

Hi Funsters I have oil leak on my 04 Fiat Ducato 2.8 is there a common place where this leakage might come from. It's not a massive amount but just wondered if any one has any idea before I go to garage. Thanks trickydicky.

Have you looked underneath, it could be anywhere and could be engine oil, gearbox oil, power steering fluid?

Or the sump itself as they rusted out.

Hi. No changed last year new wash have just come back 2 months in France no problems .

Definitely post a picture as we’ll be able to help then. On my 2006 2.8JTD, I’ve had to replace the sump and a new gasket, but even torquing to the right setting, the gasket seeped. Stopped in the end, but we need to see the location. The rest of my engine is technically a blob of rust as there are so little leaks from it.

Hi. I have cleaned it up but I am going to try an RAF. trick cover all with talcum power it should show where its coming from in theory. I will take some photos tomorrow thanks for your suggestions it all helps. Thanks trickydicky.

Is it leaking on the righthand side looking from the front, between the gearbox/clutch and engine gasket.
My old one leaked after a long run, a few drips but was told by the servicing garage it was the engine output seal which will get worse over time and then the oil can contaminate the clutch
I have no idea if this is correct though.
