Oh DEER......... Security Alert

Oh DEER… …… we’ve been robbed??. Preparing for our first breakfast on site at weekend and thieves stole our fruit and dog food. Culprits have not been caught but watch out for Mother Deer and baby Deer lurking in woods. We stopped off at VANBITZ on way home and they advise on an external loop around outside items which will GROWL away said thieves, what a relief???

Seriously we did visit VANBITZ on Monday and were given a comprehensive overview of their systems, but quite expensive with potential annual costs. Having read various reviews etc, there are other security systems, Outsmart the Thief being one, although no good for Deer thieves.

I am not prepared to leave our MHome on any car park until we have sorted some form on security, and suppose I will need to splash out for peace of mind.

The Outsmart The Thief loop can work separately when you are inside the van. I'm very impressed with it.

Do your homework, what Vanbitz offers, OTT, and Ghostbuster. Each offer similar but different, Vanbitz is in your area so no long drive to get there or return fuel costs if something goes wrong. The info is all there if you research it and take everything into consideration for you.

My personal view is that you get what you pay for.

You make a substantial investment when you acquire a Motorhome and if you want to keep that investment it pays to make it secure.

I would vote vanbitz.

We were there Monday too having an inverter, b2b fitted. Expensive but I felt that nickvanbitz was on my side, explaining what additional stuff I needed over and above what we’d had fitted and to ensure we had the right charging regime for our new lithium, he explained it to me and answered any questions I may have had, particularly putting techy info into easier understandable words for me. I’d go back again. The site was pleasant too.

Not all insurance companies accept outsmart the thief, so you need to check on the other hand, I've heard first hand its a good alarm.

The deer could be a problem when mummy Deer felt baby Deer was being troubled by people.
