We came back from Portugal And found that I have a hernia . Got sent to a a private hospital For a check up. and I am having the opp today . Not bad we only got back from Portugal on November 2. So hey ho. Of to the hospital; I go.

One thing to watch out for is not to try and pee standing up after the op as it may cause you to feint
Sitting down to pee is safest

You didn't say what sort of hernia it was but no matter what I hope all goes well. Surgery really is the only way to go with these things.

Snap. Well almost. I hadn't been away but after a painful few weeks had a scan on the 13th Dec and have my op on 10 Jan. Its an inguinal hernia and going private it the only option. The waiting time for a scan in my area is 11 weeks and after that several months for the op. The fees for private care are quite acceptable really even though I don't have medical insurance.

I came home too early from hospital laid on bed wasn't feeling great. Thought I was going to vomit so got out of bed as hernia repair burst blood everywhere on new carpet. Ambulance back to hospital and repair done 1st thing in morning while awake happy days not.

Well thank you one and all. The hernia was just over my right testicular. I am back home now and very sore. But the op went well. I was very lucky my doctor sent me to a private hospital. Wow the difference from nhs. I did not get back from Portugal until November 2. So a very quick op.. Which I am very grateful. At the moment going to the toilet is very painful .But thank you all for your best whishes' May you all have a great Christmas and a very happy new year From Rose And me.
And yes I can lift a whisky glass. Free or not
