We decided it was about time we visited North Devon, so we packed the motorhome and set off to Hele Valley Holiday Park in Ilfracombe. An unusual but lovely site close to Ilfracombe Harbour. If you have transport there are so many beautiful places to visit nearby. You can see our video of the last mile to the site and the site itself here.
Just to clarify, this video is is our opinion of the site. If you think youtubers (we are beginners) should be hung drawn and quartered please skip this post. If you find it useful we would love to hear any feedback. We would love to know what you like or dislike about the video. Do you want to see more posts like this on here? We love Motorhome Fun and like to share our experiences with other on here but have had some pretty nasty comments in the past and don't know why . If we are breaking any rules posting our video links here or if they conflict with any guidelines can an admin contact us.

Very useful video. Thank you. The site looks really good and is now on my list of sites to visit.

Glad you found it useful. We'd love to know your thoughts about the site once you have visited it.

By heck, that is one tale of difficult access! I'd love to have seen the chalet homes arrving on site and I would not like to have towed a carvan down there. Having said all of that, a most interesting and useful video and I hope they enjoy a most beautiful part of the county; I would say that as I'm biased as Woolacombe (just up the road) is a family favourite!

One of our friends who was with us brought his caravan which is quite long. The air was blue for quite a while after he arrived. That said, once he had settled down he really enjoyed his holiday.

We stayed there a few years ago. There was a good restaurant over the road called Hele Billy’s; wonder if it’s still there?

If approaching from Ilfracombe, it’s best to drive by the entrance, turnaround and drive in from Combe Martin direction 👍

sorry! Just started watching the video and see that is what you did! We used to live in one of the victorian houses you passed opposite the Rugby Club as you are leaving Ilfracombe 😜

It's just as well there is a suitable turning point further on otherwise it would be a nightmare. Even leaving the site in a car requires you to drive onto the wrong side of the road as the turn is so tight.
