Hey all, I need to reset the SRS light on my Peugeot Boxer and rather than take it to be done I'd prefer to buy the tool.

At the moment I have a simple Bluetooth module with Torque Pro, but this doesn't do engine/srs lights etc.

Can anyone recommend one that does (without spending a fortune)

Thanks

multiecuscan i believe does cover the Boxer, i say this as it covers all types of Fiat Ducato and i believe they are mostly the same electrical / electronic set up. but check here..

I don't think it will. MES is FCA only. Although the Boxer and Relay are the same platform, MES needs to identify the ECU from its Fiat ISO code before it will connect to it, and I believe the ISO codes for the units in the other vans are different.

AlfaOBD on android will connect to all the Sevel X250/X290 vans via bluetooth to an ELM OBD dongle and with the necessary MultiEcuScan adapter cables is just as functional as MES for reading/clearing DTCs, and also has better programming and actuation capabilities.

One of the biggest issues IMV is getting hold of a decent OBD systems that will work across a range of vehicles without spending several body parts!. Mine is only Mercedes specific and set me back £80. It does SRS /Airbags etc; Multieceuscan (Free) works with "fiat" product but wont do much, you need the "paid" version and the right dongle and or specific leads.

Cheers all, think I'm going to order the Autel AP200.

It's a Bluetooth OBD thing and comes with one vehicles software included at £55. If I need other vehicles they cost an additional £10-£15.

Looks like it does all i need and more. Should even be able to program a new key, so pay for itself straight away.

Thanks for the suggestions,
David

It looks a pretty good piece of kit for the price, as a multi make multi system scanner.

Don't automatically assume that all of the service functions in particular will be available for your vehicle. They might be, but it depends which vehicles Autel support under each function. The function support lists should be on Autel's website somewhere.

If it can add Fiat keys (might be a big if due to the codes that need to be in the key before you can introduce it to the vehicle) you will need to get the vehicle security code from Fiat unless you already have it on a code card.

I have an icarsoft machine which is vehicle specific, its as close to a fully professional machine as you can buy at reasonable money.

Just to update this thread, I did order the Autel AP200 in the end:

I collect my van from the engine builders in a few days, then fit the passenger seat back in and pop it across the road for an MOT re-test. It failed on the airbag light being on (because the seat was out) and I wasn't 100% sure just fitting the seat would switch the light off.

With this I should be able to reset the light.

Can't test this yet as no van, but once I have I'll update this thread on what it can do with a Peugeot or Citroen.

How did you get on with the Autel? Did it do the job and reset the airbag warning light?

Just download Alfaobd. It does puegot as well as fiat, Fiat Pro, Alfa, maserati, abarth - all the "Stelantis" tribe. Works ok with most decent Bluetooth dongles, but you may need a "yellow lead" depending on which module you access (easily available on amazon, eBay, etc). The free "demo" version should do it. See https://www.alfaobd.com/ ffi
