I bought this lot before the lock down so pherhaps not possible now.
You need oil filter, oil and a means of removing filter and refilling with oil
There are videos and instructions online this is my view on my 2017 euro6 ducato.
It should be easy. I changed oil and filters for over 40 years. I even made them summer 74 coopers filters llanfoist ( near Abergavenny) typicaly they are replacement cartridges as in A4 a d my fabia, the up and ducato have replacement spin on cans.
The most difficult was the up straight from the factory, broke 3 tools and had to resort to big screwdriver trough body and 2 people, 1 pulling one pushing a right pain. The easiest, today with the ducato.
Note bought removal tool15 flats for mahle filter supplied as oem but took off a mopar filter.

Don't get bored, get busy! I have just fitted new disc pads on the Sprinter and repaired the broken (chewed by mice) wire to the outside temp gauge, todays project is to glue some hooks to a mini solar charger & hang it on the mirror arm to keep the starter battery topped up. The 16 yr old van has a lot of stone chips on the bonnet, found some rattle can white paint in the shed along with some masking tape, wish me luck. :)

just out of interest , having recently changed my oil on a 2017 Euro 6 , what specification oil did you use ?

Always replace the sump plug, only a couple of quid.

Doesn't this work?

It doesn't reset the oil degradation counter on Euro 5+ and 6 vans, which will put the vehicle into limp mode if it triggers. It should be reset to baseline at every oil change.

Should that be sump plug washer by any chance or do you actually mean changing the plug?

So is there something in the engine that analyses the oil?

No, a software program calculates the likely condition of the oil according to various driving conditions measured from sensors, including the number and type of DPF regenerations which in certain circumstances can lead to the oil being diluted with fuel. It doesn't know the actual state of the oil, but makes an estimation based on factors monitored.

Fiat 9.55535-DS1 Diesel Engine Oil Specification

Looking for Fiat 9.55535-DS1 Diesel Engine Oil?

Oils listed in this section meet the Fiat 9.55535-DS1 Diesel Engine Oil specification. Fiat 9.55535-DS1 Engine Oil is a mid SAPS 0w-30 lubricant, based on ACEA C2 specification.

Need Engine Oil / Oil & Filter to service your Fiat? Why not use our online product lookup.

If you're unsure if Fiat 9.55535-DS1 is correct for your application, or have a modified or unique Fiat Vehicle why not ask the Opie Experts for a Custom recommendation.

I used the above link to the experts to confirm my needs as the Number plate system has it as a 150 or 180 Van, it is a 130 chassis.
I chose the Fuchs as in previous employment have dealt directly with technical staff in Derby (company previously known as Silkolene)

thanks yes thats what specification that i used.
Purchased
Motul 8100 Eco-Clean

Along with the oil change i changed the air filter just 3 screws no great aggravation.
The cabin pollen filter is a different matter altogether, from inside 9 torqs25 screws and 2x 5.5mm head hex screws, mearised amount of aggro removing it. Putting it back no problem, screw it all back together, find someone else and get bruise cream. This is the pain in the xxxx cubed. It took several hours and in the end extra hands. Initially it didnt close to a nice fit , take off and refit in the end fitted closed, opened better than it ever has since new. Wont be changing it again in a hurry . Is there an alternative way to access the filter eg from engine bay, there is a you tube video showing an alternative this was for a x290 (yank?)
