We seem to only have resident raptors. No more than one or two pairs of each, but we can see a great variety from the house: common buzzard, kestrel, sparrowhawk, barn/ tawny/ long-eared/ short-eared owls, hen harrier, golden eagle and sea eagle. I'm not too good on the owls. The golden eagle is probably the least commonly seen of them all, but WTE have breeding grounds nearby. The others are fairly commonly seen. Of course they'll be more visible once the lambing starts - horrible mixed feelings about that! We've seen the first of the raptor migrations this week.
(Only the odd few from our flat whereas others have witnessed "hundreds".)
