l only moved the Motorhome the length of the ramps so I could get to the alko suspension mounts to paint. Plenty of slacks the power cable and then somehow the cable got caught and this happened........

Trying to glue it as a temporary fix whilst I try and source a replacement. Superglue won’t touch it.

Any better ideas?

so long as the flap closes youre ok ! and you can still use it if youre careful. If I was attempting a temporary repair, I would remove it from the van and you might be able to araldite a couple (or three !) of L shaped brackets onto the sides of the round section and onto the flat section at the back (you could do it without removing the socket of course) I would then spray some expanding foam around the right hand side, being careful to mask and fill the areas I don't want the foam going into - which is why I would remove the socket! the expanding foam will hold it firmly together and the L shaed brackets will give it strength.

of course replacement is the best option !

White ones are easy to source - even as a temporary measure until a coloured one can be delivered.

A quick search suggests they're readily available: might just be easier to order a new one. Alternatively Araldite (not the rapid stuff) will effect a permanent repair if you scrape off the Superglue.

No chance unless u weld the plastic. It's going to take a lot of stress forces putting the plug in an out.
Get a white 1 and change the covers over.

you'll not repair it. Treat it gently until you get a replacement

Thanks folks.

Having looked at it further it is beyond repair. I’ve tried a couple of Burstner dealers to see if they can source an exact replacement. I’ll have a look through the links to see if I can find a grey one.

Having looked at it closely, it appears that the flap cover retainer is missing as well. So new flap is required.

plenty of grey ones available without paying a premium getting from Burstner

I can find loads of black and white ones, but no grey at the moment.

Either google ABL SURSUM or go to Leisureshopdirect.com. I purchased one in december and it is a perfect fit. Product reference 235110.

Ordered a black on Thanks. It is the ABL part, so the screws will line up.

Gorilla glue will do the trick but make sure it's the brand for plastic as there are various types of glue , this will repair it until you replace it with a new one it's an easy thing to replace just make sure the gasket that sits between the outside face and the motorhome doesn't get twisted or out of line best tighten the fixing screws slowly making sure it's fitted ok , if that makes sense

There’s a grey ABL one here
