Northern Motorhome Buyer....

Presume that's what he's called

The only time I have been to this place to look at a Hymer I was not impressed at all. They described the motor as been kept in dry storage but it was in fact very rusty on the underside, It was also very shabby and had time expired tyres and an obsolete gearbox for which no spares are made. when I pointed these things out to him he was not interested said the tyres were good and said it was a good buy. We left empty handed

Look very expensive for a 2007 van.
It seems to go the same way as with houses, in my area ( Cheltenham ) there is so little for sale that the estate agents are lining up a host of serious buyers and tell them to put in a sealed bid above the asking price, highest bidder wil have it, prices have gone crazy in last year, so MH is not unique, and anyone in the trade know what materials have done over the last 8 months or so, we had 5 serious price increases in that period, a lot of products have more then doubled in a very short space of time, and people need it , so pay, and availability of building materials is truly shocking!

He said it was 4000kg. Yes I do have C1
Did he tell you what the payload was? I would strongly suggest that you get it weighed empty before parting with any money. If you want to use it for 5 or 6 people and with all their bikes etc you would need at least 800kg more than the empty weight, and probably more.
