Northamptonshire recommendations for MH mechanics

Hi,

We’ve had some great short trips with our young family in our MH since buying it earlier this year but have built up a list of things we would like to add to the van before taking it further afield next summer. Top of this list is getting an awning strip fitted so we can use the air beam awning we already had but also would like to get some more 12v USB sockets in the habitation area and possibly a sog system.

We live near Northampton, can anyone recommend somewhere/someone that does this sort of work nearby?

We visited Essanjay in Poole on a trip earlier this year when our MH’s water pump failed and they managed to get us in same day and fit a replacement. They seemed very knowledgeable and set up to do all sorts of work on Motorhomes, if all else fails we can take the van down for a long weekend there but just wondered if anyone knew of anywhere closer to home that was similar?

I have no direct experience of either of these places but you could talk to them and see if they can help. I tend to do the kind of work you mentioned myself so rarely go to dealers or fitters.

I have spoken to Heart of England on a couple of occasions as they are the nearest Hymer dealer to me and I have an older one of those. They gave me some helpful advice.

Try Paul Chamberlain at Northants Motor home Services. He is brilliant. He is at Cottesbrooke, but will also come to you. He has done 2 hab services for me and installed a bigger Lpg tank. He is also widly praised by 2 of my fellow WilAx owners.
