Would appreciate some help with a run I intend to do down to Alicante in a few weeks

Did it a couple of months back coming home in 24 hours fastest route through to Milton Keynes with a second driver

This time want to take what ever it takes in time say 4 or 5 days with no tolls

Any suggestions

Cheers

Calais/Dunkirk , Abbeville, Rouen, Evereux, Dreux,Chartres Tours,Poitiers, Angouleme, Bordeaux,Cadillac, Langon, Aire, sur L'Adour, Pau,Oloron St.Marie, down & through the Som port tunnel, on to Jaca, Sabiñanigo, Huesca, Zaragoza then stay on A23 all the way to Sagunto, follow bypass around Valencia ; I then go inland past Xativa & on towards Font de La Figuera on A 35, then down A33 link to E903/A31 all the way in to Alicante as you want .I don't follow all way to Alicante as I swop on to the A7 to get to home in Murcia region.
All that route is toll free.pleasant scenery & easily doable even with the French speed limits in your time period

We do Just Smiffy route 3-4 times a year for last 5 years great run down free but we do use a toll join A10 just before Tours and come off junction 30 after Poitiers it’s a pain going through the two city’s saves lots of time.
also lots of good stopovers on this route

have driven over the col du portalet only during the winter period november to march only had to turn back twice

sorry should have said over 20 journeys l have turned back twice due to bad weather
