I’m a newbie
Hi All

After a little advice (I did try to look through previous threads for the answer but no joy).

I have a 2012 Bailey Approach which the manual says has a Whale Smartflow pump.. yesterday when arriving at a festival I filled up with water - Shows as 85% full, was previously on about 10%…. Went to turn on tap to bleed through but nothing happened, pump was running but very quietly compared to normal.. left it be overnight whilst I read up on a few things and this morning have checked and now pump is not even making any noise.. I’ve checked/changed the fuse, no joy! Also looked at manufacturers settings and it is showing a voltage setting of 1.74v which I believe to be a fault, I need to still try recalibrating the water probe as per my investigations but can do this yet as don’t think my neighbours will appreciate swimming in the 85litre I need to dump to follow the calibration process.. Any help appreciated just trying to get ahead of needing to a professional in after the bank holiday!

Sorry not familiar with this pump I am sure someone will be along shortly with some ideas Good luck

If everything else is working, my next move would be to give everything a wiggle wiring wise and shake the pump or give it a gentle knock if it’s an inline pump

Then come here and wait for a better solution 😁

I’ve had to replace the pump twice on a similar vehicle. Easy enough to do providing you get the right one (I did buy one with a larger outlet by mistake). Of course you may get away without doing this hopefully if it’s mendable.

Assuming that you are not on EHU, have you checked that you have power in your leisure batteries?

Thanks, yes when master switch is on other things work fine so there is charge in the batteries

Not familiar with the smart pump, not sure what the smart implies. But if it’s a pressurised system, the pump should click into action as soon as you open a tap. Check if you get any voltage at the pump with tap open. It may be pressure switch stuck, and a light knock may free it into action.

Gave everything a wiggle and pump is working but now seeing on master control panel the low water level symbol so think I need to wait and do the tank probe calibration before going further, as always a poke and a prod work wonders!!
