I thought I should post this in case someone has the same issues?

Symptom 1. No sound at all from unit. But then comes back and everything works.
After much digging around and contact with Zenec this turned out to be the reversing signal from the gear lever rather than anything at all wrong with the head, Pulling the unit out and unplugging both 'Reverse' connectors restored the sound. I had it fixed at an upcoming service. I think they changed a switch. Oddly, it did not force the camera view on which it normally does when selecting reverse.

Symptom 2. No sound from sat-nag although the 'speed limit is xxx' nag still works as does the radio and other media.
Go into settings and turn 'use voice navigation (or is it guidance?)' back on. I have yet to find out how it gets turned off, but it's always at the start of a new journey, usually one that has a complex exit route and nowhere to stop to correct it. A right PITA!

This might be of help to others.

Any ideas on how to fix "searching for a GPS signal" ?

Ours will simply display "searching for a GPS signal" for a day or two, and then it will suddenly start working again and be fine for 2-3 weeks before it does it again.

We have tried just leaving it on for an hour or two when stationary, but that does not make any difference.

Sometimes it happens when we start up, but more often it will happen in the middle of a long run and you notice the map has not moved for a while.

(We have also found the setting default to silence issue from time time, so it's not just yours)

No. Having popped the unit out completely a couple of times, not seen the problem since. 🤞🤫

Thanks in advance👍👍

Just "open a new ticket" on the right hand edge of https://support.zenec.com/. You might have to select 'product support' first. Do move to the right hand side of the page to find the box though. They generally reply in 24 hours. You will need the serial number if I remember correctly.
