At last. I finally worked out how to turn my new phone off. I appreciate why it is not an easy task for safety reasons, but I am knackered as it pings every time someone posts on here on a thread I am watching, sometimes 1am in the morning. Plus, I hardly ever drink so on the weekends I can now switch if off when all the stupid talk and drinking starts on group chats. Night everybody

If so, the ‘sleep’ mode will silence alerts during the ‘sleep’ period that you set on it.

It will still forward a telephone call if the caller repeatedly calls you.

Thank you. It is a Samsung Galaxy S22. I am just glad I have silenced it!!

It's only pinging you with Fun alerts because of the way you have Fun setup.
I always put my phone into flight mode at night, stops all alerts.

Better to set up do not disturb. And you can enter exclusions I have mine set to only allow calls from mum or my sister between midnight and 0700 . Everything else is blocked

You could just hand your phone to the butler you know, he can bring it in the next morning with the Financial Times and coffee

Thanks for that. I forgot to add I talk a load of rubbish on here too, don't need alcohol it just spirts out of my mouth and gets me in a load of trouble sometimes.

Using flight mode or turning the whole thing off is fine only as long as you are ok with being completely out of contact

You could just turn it off all phones and laptops tablets and all othe electrical goods have an off button . they are very easy to use unless you suffer from FOMO
