Hi folks.
3 year old Laika on a Fiat. For some reason the batteries are not charging when on hook up.
run the engine and it charges fine.
I have checked the fuse in the habitation fuse box and it is fine.
the control panel says the charging is working, but both the leisure and vehicle batteries drain over time.
so…….
does anyone know if there are any more fuses I can check?

thanks in advance

We recently found the charger had been accidentally switched off

Ahhhhh. How do you do that? And more importantly, how do you switch it back on!
thanks for your swift reply.

The leccy comes in from the ehu to a breaker just like at home. One feed goes off to the mains (230v) sockets and lights.
Another feed goes to your onboard charger and fuses for your various 12v outlets and lights.
Your task is to find out where the 230v dies. It will be a switch or a fuse and more unlikely a broken cable.
Good luck 👍

The kind people at Laika put the charger in a seat box…..without access. So I will have to get the snap-ons out to get to it.
guess what I’m doing this weekend.
thanks for the clues folks. I am never too proud to ask for help.

Hi folks. So i got a moment this afternoon, took off the seat box lid and there was the charger. I pressed the button and…….click. It seams to have reset.
thanks to those who offered help.
it just goes to show, there is nothing wrong with asking.

If you have the issue and need to know then many other people will be the same :)

No such thing as a daft question - only daft answers of which you will get plenty.

I've been caught by that as well. Now a bit of me always wants to give the plug a sharp twist to the right regardless 😆

Many years ago, we rocked up to a tiny site in the middle of France. I went to plug in and found the socket was a long way from the pitch. No problem, I pulled out the additional lead and hooked up. However, we had no power. I did a few checks and discovered that the additional lead had a poor connection. I stripped it down and sure enough the wire had pulled away from the screw. I fixed it and plugged in again. At this point I saw others their supply. A guy went up to the top of the site and open up a main fuse to reset the whole site. It seems my suspect lead had tripped the whole site. I kept my head down and went for a walk.
now each year, I check the connectors to ensure there is nothing working loose.
