Heading off to Newquay on the weekend for a birthday party. Thinking of staying at Carvynick Touring park. Any feedback or alternative suggestions welcome plus any suggestions for parking in Truro on Sunday if we decide to pop in there for a visit?

I've not stopped at Carvynick since Eric of Itchy Feet RV's owned it, must be 8 years ago. It was a nice park with a Michelin star restaurant on site back then. The Google reviews are pleasant enough. Never parked in Truro so can't help there.

Don’t know how big your van is but I park in the Garras Wharf car park. Or you can park in Tesco’s next door ?
Thanks Janine - we are about 6.7 metres in our HymerVan 572

There is also a park n ride on the way into Truro from the Chiverton cross roundabout.

I was also going to mention the park and ride, but sadly it doesn't operate on Sundays.
Malpas has a nice carpark which overlooks the river, nice easy access and not too crammed in, a bit of a walk to the main shops but lovely on a nice dry day.

Yes- we park up in Malpas for lunch occasionally, didn't realise park n ride was shut on sundays though.

I also parked in Garras Wharf car park, Truro, last week. Plenty of space, no height restriction, no wardens, take ticket, pay before you leave (I didn't, however, was able to pay at barrier). 6.4m PVC

Opted for Trethiggey Holiday Park in Quintrell Downs. Gently sloping site with immaculately clean toilet block and friendly staff. Have decided to stop off for a couple of hours in Exeter on the way home - any parking suggestions? Happy to do a short bike ride in to town.

Hi, i think you can park at the park&ride on barshbarton trading est, not sure about the busses on sunday (i would have thought they would run on Sundays) and the christmas market starts today, or theres the caravan & motorhome show at westpoint today

When I tried to park in Exeter last year, the park and ride carpark was having construction work done and the dedicated motorhome spaces which were advertised at the campsite had disappeared.

There is a small retail park not far from the town which is usable.
