Citroen Relay
We, that is Roy my husband and me, Julie, own a self build Citroen Relay camper, H2 van. Last year, in our Transporter T6, we almost came unstuck outside Le Mans, when, during quite a storm, we found ourselves entering an underpass! We just got under but wouldn't in our current van. Can anyone tell me of other low underpasses or tunnels, eastern France as we are taking a trip to Annecy via Ypres, Verdon and Colmar?

:welc:

Can't help with France but no problems yet with a Garmin Camper satnav and our dimensions in big print on sun visor in UK.....

Hello and welcome, put a new topic on low bridges etc, not everyone with knowledge reads newbie messages.

Hi there and welcome 🤗

Put copilot for motorhomes on your phone or tablet and use that.

Had no issues with low bridges or narrow lanes.

No idea but there are low bridges/tunnels in the UK as well and as in France and most countries we've/you'll driven in, they will be clearly
sign posted, many have prewarning hangings like the Eurotunnel, image below.
Clearly mark your vehicles height/width (M/Ft) in easy view of drive then they can check when height restriction signs seen.
Other things you can do it to note vehicles, especially if "local" registration, driving along with you or in the opposite direction.
Not 100% foolproof but if they are going the same way they'll hit anything 1st, or if opposite direction they've not hit anything.
All that said we've only come across 1 low tunnel in '0000's miles France, Spain, Portugal and that was in Le Mans.
It was clearly signed, advanced warning hangers
