Hiya guys first post as a new member. We have a 1993 Hymer B534 and were having trouble getting water through to the shower tap. I disconnected the pipes and sucked water through before replacing. But now we can't get water through to the kitchen tap either. The water pump seems to work okay so think it might be electrical. Any ideas? TIA.

You should have around 20psi enough to not be able to stop it with your finger ,so if any less than that it will be the pump usually .

When you say the water pump seems to work OK, do you mean it pumps water OK or that it makes a noise so you presume it is working. I ask this because the motor in a pump can be spinning away, but maybe the pump bit is broken - the impeller, diaphragm or valve depending on the pump type.

I detached the water pipe that runs from
the tank to check if the pump was actually moving water and it was. So I'm confident that's it not the pump.

I don't think that it's the pump that is the
problem.

When did this problem start? did it suddenly start recently, or after leaving it over the winter?
No it started recently as in yesterday. I must admit im at a loss to try and figure out what the problem is. I don't think its a fuse issue and the water was reaching the taps so im struggling to think what to do next.

Have you checked if water is draining out under the motorhome, especially near the water heater. There is a frost protection valve that opens at near freezing temperatures to avoid water heater damage by frost. This valve is held closed by battery power, so if you lose power the valve opens and must be closed manually. It is quite reliable but could in theory by faulty.

Another possibility is the one-way valve in/near the pump could be faulty, so the water heater is draining back into the fresh water tank. That means every time you turn on the tap, the pump has to fill the water heater again before a good flow of water appears.

I haven't noticed any water draining out from underneath but will double check. I will also check the one way valve too. Thanks Autorouter.
