Burstner A532-2
Hello all

Looking to purchase a driveaway awning for my Burstner A532-2 Active (Fiat ducato base) and need some advice on what to purchase.

It currently doesn't have a rail thingy to attach anything to but from looking on youtube these are easy enough to install as a DIY.

I don't want to spend a fortune but equally don't want something that is going to need replacing quickly.

Thanks in advance ;)

Jon

Or get a Quest Screen House…….! ;)

No idea, but congratulations on a cracking little van! We just sold our beloved 536-2 and already miss it! If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to give me a shout. I also have the full instruction manual (if you are missing it) on PDF as well if you want it as I believe the manuals were the same for both models.

Take a look in 'classifieds' at the top of the screen.
There are at least 4 for sale, 2 brand new, one 'used twice', and one of indeterminate usage, but given the price probably also in the 'used a few times' area.

Unless you have occasional extra people staying.
I'd consider why you want one, as they take a while to put up/take down/dry out.
If you are on a pitch for a week or two it might make sense, but it would appear most get used a couple of times and resold as they are more trouble than they are worth.
They are also big, heavy and take up loads of room in the back of the van

Yes, I saw those at the Peterborough motorhome show, they looked good and seemed of reasonable quality (and midge 'proof')

Love ours... I got a big long one. (y)

The photo makes it looks a bit short and not well erected to me

It's just the angle,,, Looks great in the flesh. (y)
Even on the toughest rally it stay's up all night...

There are usually plenty of second hand awnings on the Classified ads on this forum. Many people buy one thinking it is a good idea, but get fed up with the time and effort they have to invest in them. OK if you intend to stay in one place for a week or more, but a lot of motorhomers (unlike caravanners) realise that it is better to have short stays then move on.
