Congratulations, hopefully not long until you can go and enjoy it.

We know how you feel, enjoy it.
I have given other new owners of Carthago's with the large garage doors the same advice. Tie up a strap or strong cord to stop the door catching the wind and swinging uncontrollably open to its max. This will cause damage to the hinges and body work.
I know from it happening to me and this also caused the door frame to break its seal and allow water to ingress (now fully repaired).
You will be leaning in the garage with the door open and a gust will just snap it back.

Very nice...enjoy! (y)

Does it not have any stays or a catch to secure it in the open position whilst you lean in there?

They have small gas struts that have no useful purpose at all. They give no compression to prevent opening door quickly, they just allow the door to guide open upto its max. Any force (wind) opening the door to its max without restraint will cause damage. It maybe that Carthago has put preventer straps on the door as this is a common insurance claim through Carthago dealers, I when I last looked in a new van did not notice any specific stamp/system installed.

Ooh that's nice, one of my favourite vans. Local dealer reckons i'll be buying a 141 from him one day, just need to sell a spare organ first oh and kick the youngsters out

Enjoy
