I needed to replace a towbar and hitch on a Pickup and Caravan. As they are both very old, I felt that they did not need to comply with current legislation and would fabricate them myself.

This was bought for my daughter during a disasterous camping holiday in the South of France, in 1985. It rained for all but one day in three weeks, and I managed to run over my 4-year old son's leg (He was OK, but it shocked us all)
35 years on, it's now been restored for her 3-year old daughter!
A piece of wire with solder "blob" for the tow ball, and an odd clip I found in my scrapbox for the hitch
