HI FOLKS.
Just to say that we have found a lovely little Aire just inland from Faro near a place called Monocarpacho.
Only places for 6 vans up to about 7.5 mtrs long, with another 6 in the planning for next year.
Its run by Eduardo and Annie a Portuguese couple, who are just setting up between doing their day jobs.
It costs only €8, with electricity, showers, water and toilets, with washing machine available.
It is SO quiet and the planting and layout show how much love this couple are putting into the place.
It is on hard shingle, is level, but also drains well.
It has only opened 2 weeks ago but is a really nice place to sit in the sun (no trees ).
SO, if you like peace and quiet, in pleasant surroundings. Here you go ! !
It's open all year and is on Campercontact..

We've found many new motorhome parking places (official) in Portugal during the last two weeks. None of them are on Camper Contact. They are on the Portuguese site. CC is only as good as the dedicated people who add them.

Been around the block a few times😉
Thanks Jenny & Mitch (y)
We're hoping for a week or two around the Algarve on our homeward journeys in about 1 month and this sounds ideal

Do they allow dogs ?

Yes Charlie- Minton, dogs are allowed mate.
Manta Rota is now a No No for us, we had a look and it is chock a block, end to end about 120 vans in 4 rows.
And only 1 service point for water and toilet.
Can you imagine what that smelt like with all those Concord's etc emptying their 100 ltr "poop" tanks..?!?!
We spent 1 night on the adjacent car park with several others and moved on.
When we found this, it was a relief.. Peace and quiet.
Hope you enjoy it.

Glad you like it, we are not too far away at Cabanas but we often venture out for a couple of nights and that is definitely on our 'to visit' list.

Off to Cadiz and Sanlucar on Thursday for a couple of days, test out some seafood Tapas:).

In the free 'East Algarve' magazine last month was a big spread on a restaurant in Moncarapacho, 'Antonios', looks a bit upmarket (expensive:)) for us but might be worth a look.

Sounds ideal for a couple of days probably in about a month when we're on the way home.
Diane's got the camper contact on her phone but I dropped it on the floor & the screen is Kippered.

It's full because it's a nice place to be. Lovely little village and fantastic beach . Pitches change daily with plenty if you arrive 10 ish . No smells from emptying either so maybe you should stay a few days before you give a inaccurate review

Hi Seenoo.
Sorry if you think what I wrote was inaccurate, but we walked around the complete site (( Because we wanted to see how much it had changed since the LAST time we were there)) and MANY people said to us that although it was a nice place to be, the smell was very strong blowing round the site, and several only stayed 1 night because of it ! !
Our Swedish friends were also on the site when we visited and said the same and left next day ! !
So my comment was MY opinion based on what I saw and what several other people also said.
I am glad however, that you enjoy it and hope that you continue to do so in the future.
Mitch and Jenny.
