New phone won't let me down load photos

Fun is not an app, we had this a while ago.
It's just a webpage.

So I click the picture icon above where I'm writing, click where it says 'drop image,' and all my photos on my phone appear. Click on desired photo. In addition I can browse or click camera. Easy peasy. (Android)

“Attach Files” gives you a different, inferior photo adding interface.
Look for the photo specific option.

Sorry, I’m an iPhone / iPad user.

That got a security feature that hid all my pics from apps unless given access to the photo location when an app was 1st launched. One wrong answer left apps unable to view pics and reversing that lockout wasn’t obvious.

Have android added a security feature to limit access to photos?

It worked but had me fooled at first.

When you click on attach files on the screen that comes up click on the SD card image and it brings up your gallery. I only found it by playing around, not what I would expect.

I'm on Android 12 now and fun is definitely an app and I can't find a way around it . I used to have my favourite page saved onto my home screen and just clicked to go straight there. Now it loads the Latest discussions page every time. I'm not a fan

Tried that, tried a different browser, no joy. It's like it hijacks the page and just opens the app. I can't even pull down the screen and see the other tabs on the browser. I can't be bothered to look anymore.

I had no problems until I started using this phone. I have Chrome and Brave on here and it's the same on both. I suspect it's Android 12 but I'll install Firefox now and give it a go.

When I was looking a Alex's problem I used my wife's phone on Android 12, I was using the Opera browser appeared to work OK.
