don’t own one yet
I’m looking to buy our first motor home. I’ve found one I really like but the mileage seems very high, 106k on an 06 plate Renault Master. Would this put any of the more experienced owners off?

:welco:

I would class that as low mileage only 6½k a year we do 8 - 10k a year.
Very low mileage vans are often a poor buy as they spend a lot of their life sitting around far more damaging to them than using them.

Welcome from Ciren! (y)
Not high mileage - but always check any documentation wrt MOTs, etc., and then come back with questions to Fun if worried or unsure…….

I would be more concerned with the state of the habitation rather than the mechanical aspect. For a motorhome that mileage signifies reasonably good use (a lot only do a few thousand a year - weekend trips and occasional holidays)

If it's done more then the habitation will have been lived in more. However, that's a fairly easy one to deal with. If it looks in good nic inside and everything works then it shouldn't be a problem.

Wouldn't really bother me either - our van has 138,000 miles on it, 07 reg. As long as it's properly and regularly maintained mechanically should be no problem, these are commercial vehicles designed to to 350,000 miles per year! As others have said the condition of the non-mechanicals is the clincher, but most can be "revived" quite easily.
