This is definitely for Niesmann Bischoff but probably may others as well.

A couple of thing you may already know.
For people with a brand new European van, on order or about to order. Ours is Niesmann but I bet others are the same.
the Alphatronics tv they haven’t paid the uk license for the apps so you think your getting a smart tv, which you do but you cant run itvhub or iPlayer because although they are selling the tv to a UK market as I said they haven’t paid the UK companies to use the software.

Xzent head unit with built in nav and so on, the upgraded speakers are rubbish and wont take any volume but the unit is way out of date. We put all our old cd’s on a usb stick and put it in the usb port of the head unit never had a problem before, but I just couldn’t get it to work in the new van? It turns out you have to format the usb stick to Fat32 which is a piece of software that was out of date 5 years ago and no longer comes on any laptop you will have to search for it and download it. It was scraped due to the fact you can only use a stick up to 32gb and it only works with small files, we used to load films on to it before so thats out of the windon now.
we are paying a lot of money for these things, they should be up to date and work in the UK they are being sold for the UK market.
Thanks

I bet if you have a word with the dealer they would say "but you are getting it at last years price what do you want blood", however both are easy to replace and let's face it if you have spent a wad of cash a few notes more for perfection should not be a hardship surely?

Now you see I’m the opposite to that. If I’m paying a wad of cash for craftsmanship, then I want it to be perfect and definitely not have to pay extra for something that the manufacturers need to get a grip of.

We picked up our HYMER B890MLi on 1st September 2021 and we use the TV’s in it periodically via a Firestick with no problems at all for the various apps.

Was not aware there is an issue if using apps via another method. Agree that this should be sorted when delivery is taken of a UK spec van.

We can get round it with a fire stick no problem. The van was a 146k I don’t know the price of the bits but I bet the tv is around £600 and the head unit is the nav so probably £1000 and yes I can afford to replace them but I shouldn’t have to. Most tvs for your home are made in China or Korea you don’t expect them to only show Chinese tv stations😵‍💫😵‍💫Mr Sony and so on pay the few pounds to get their software license.

It's the same on Sony and Samsung TV,s for home according to currys

We have one of the latest Sony tvs at home and everything works fine 😁
