Hi,

We have been caravaners for many years, but after a holiday in NZ this year in a camper van we decided that this was the way to go. We have now sold our caravan and are looking for a suitable van. After much research I realise that compromises have to be made. We would like it to be small enough to park without too much difficulty, can be used as an occasional 2nd vehicle, but which offers maximum accommodation. We have 2 grandchildren so seat belts in the rear are necessary. Many motorhomes state they are 4 berth but only have 2 belted seats.
Am attracted by 1999 Hymer B564 with Fiat 2.5 TD and 2000 Pilote Galaxy 270 with 2.5 TD Boxer both about £20,000. Both LHD which is no hardship as most of our travelling in in mainland Europe.
Any advice/recommendations will be warmly appreciated.
Kind regards

Peter

I have just got my first motorhome, Hymer B694. First trip out to the lakes on thursday. It's LHD, no problem driving it here, looking forward to crossing the channel next year.::bigsmile:::bigsmile:

using a LHD is easy in the UK

I drive a LHD yank in the UK, it is as easy as a RHD.. do not let that worry you.
