Following the great advice from responders in my previous threads, I purchased a B2B charger & Mains charger to go with my new lithium battery. My flexible friend is rigid & have picked up every bit of work I could - so much for retirement  However, after geting a quote I knew I'd have to install myself.

Think I've managed ok, but - I thought by fitting a cut off switch where I did, that it would disconnect all the power. Didn't work that way in practice. Power was still connected....I had to throw the switch on the solar supply & then everything was off. What the hell have I done wrong? Was thinking I could disconnect power to work on something but leave the solar charging the battery.......or doesn't it work that way.

If I've seriously messed up anything, please be gentle, it's been a long, expensive couple of weeks :(

I’m no expert
As far as solar working after main isolation turned of is quite normal as solar is coming into bus bar then straight into habitation side

From the photo, it looks like your isolation switch is in between the battery and the busbar, so it should be okay.
But like you, I have been caught out before, when I have isolated the battery and forgot to isolate the solar and the Truma control panel was still live!
When the solar is generating it will feed the output from the solar controller into your system, keeping it live.
You have to isolate both the battery and the solar to disconnect ALL of the power supply.

Stick an isolator on the solar incoming too, job done.
That way you can work this side of it when needed aswell.

As a temp measure your controller is Bluetooth so you can switch off charging in the app.
Then put another switch in the solar feed.

I have put that switch to the right of the MPPT which cuts power to that point. I just hadn’t thought about the fact they were going to both be switched off to shut off all power - it has been a long couple of weeks trying to figure this out! 🙄🤪

Make sure, if the engine is running, that you also isolate the Orion (B2B) if you the hab fully isolated.
