Certainly not French activist proof.

In our area the local villagers campaigned against a mobile telephone mast as they believed that the transmissions would affect their children. They lost.

One mast built, burned down within two weeks.

Rebuilt with all wiring etc contained in a “fire proof” cabinet. One tractor demolished the cabinet and fire saw off the wiring.

Rebuilt with a 3 metre high fence around the installation. Fence demolished, installation burned and the remains “removed” by the local populace.

This was made easy as the mast was on a forested hilltop, away from sight lines.

The telecoms company simply gave up and moved the installation further away from the village as per the villagers original request.

I’m not advocating vandalism but the French, when confronted with “the establishment “ have their own unique way of making their point.
