Anyone planning to go to this? I can't make up my mind if its worth it or just go to dealership. We would like to buy a new Deffleths but reading some of the reviews about Lowdhams who are the main dealers for Deffleths im in 2 minds is worth it buying a motorhome from a dealer in Nottingham when we live in Edinburgh. We had a few issues with our chausson and had to travel to newcastle on a couple of accasions to get parts fitted. There is also the tradein price. I know ill get a good deal at the show but will they give me a good PX price. Its all ifs and buts and i cant make up my mind.

Can't really offer any advice on new vans but I'm going down to this. I've never been to a show before apart from one small one in Aberdeen not long ago. That was absolute garbage so bought a ticket for the NEC. Not taking the van though, I am flying and staying over night in a nearby hotel.

I'd try and buy local rather than be swayed by deal from a dealer that maybe miles away, especially if you pretty well know what you want. Opens up more options on selling any existing vehicle too.
I also wonder how good the show deals will actually be when they still seem to be selling quicker than they can build them.

Yeah thats my view as well. If there is a backlog of people looking to buy new motorhomes then the type of deal i got 4 years ago may not be there this time.
Our nearest Deffleths dealer is down in Ayr 60 miles away but ive not dealt with them before.

I don't think Hymer group which includes Dethleffs will be there although I guess you may find some on dealer stands.

It's the Lowdham stand which is why I'm thinking if it's worthwhile or not.

We've exhibited at the NEC for years.

The October one is the biggest and the manufacturers tend to have the stands and the dealers man the stands, it showcases the latest models

The February show tends to be be dealer led, where the dealers have their own stands and their own staff sell their own vans from the stand

Most dealers have little to no stock, and as for ordering new vans many have told us that they have sold all of their allocated stock for not only 2022 but 2023 as well so its definitely a sellers market so I can envisage many "Show Specials"

We haven't exhibited at the NEC October show since 2019 and the Feb 2021 just before the pandemic hit, and are only now starting to consider booking the bigger October show for 2023

We live 30 minutes away and have some free tickets for the Wednesday
Will go and have a wander around and see what’s new
Definitely leaving the credit card at home just in case

Free tickets ... Yes please ...

I see you have the same motorhome as us. (y)

We joined Club Adria when we got the van. You can apply for complimentary tickets for the NEC show with them and as we live close to NEC we tend to go to both shows so has been worth joining.

Hopefully doing a more adventurous continental rally to Slovenia with them as well.

has there ever been a 670 SLT rally ... LOL

free tickets sound good though - would be great to join a specific club - if only to see what changes/additions/improvements owners of the same moho have carried out and i would be happy to show everyone mine if i can see theirs ....

No but it is one of the most popular layouts in both Coral and Matrix ranges. Plenty of club members have this model. Older models are even more in demand now that Adria has changed the internal layout by removing the floor to ceiling larder cupboard next to the fridge in the 2021/2 models. We bought one of the last available 2020 models with the new Fiat engine/gearbox and the very essential larder cupboard.

Best improvement.........

A piece of 6mm ply to place between the single beds sits under mattress and then an added foam filler same thickness as seat. About 1m in length filling gap between beds

When in place allows bathroom door to open but room to spread your legs :hugs::hot:

If you know what I mean:LOL:

ours is a 2018 but doesnt have a floor to ceiling cupboard next to the fridge? we have a cupboard over the fridge into which i have fitted a microwave. the side bench in ours (in the lounge area) seems a bit longer than the model with the floor to ceiling cupboard, which i suppose allows us to have the electric drop down bed in the front ?

- ps - should we take this conversation to the Adria section as we have moved away from the OP's discussion?
