Has anybody been to this NT property in Somerset? Just been looking at Street View on Google Earth & the entrance looks hellishly tight..............

Been Through it in a Ford Escort? If that Helps?:). Used to do survey work there in the 90`s along with all the the other N-T properties in Somerset. Yes it is a bit tight, what is the size of your rig?. I think there is a backway in Via what was the "home Farm"?

There are two car parks at Light Scary (sic), one main car park on the right, fills up quick, space not too bad, the overflow on the left just before, slightly more accessible with more turning space. There is a narrow access road to it, you take pot luck. We had no trouble each time we went, but it does depend on the size of the van, and how busy it is. Get there early, it's lovely.

I suspect this was where we joined the NT - must have been 2009 or 10, as we had the Bessacar when we visited - and it was flippin tight!

We've got an AutoTrail Apache which from memory is about 2.85m with mirrors out.

We went last year but our van is only 2.15 wide so no help really - but it's a really lovely place and the overflow car park is definitely the best place to park

Yes we went there Saturday ..no problems at all ..they were running a one way in and one way out as it was a busy week end ..no width issues...We went to Montacute House in the morning got there as it opened no problems...but when we left is was chaos as they we letting cars in and it was already full..joined a queue and then had to squeeze out of main gate once the incoming moved over.

Curiosity got the better of me and I Looked (as you did) on Google earth. If you go beyond the "Entrance" there is a Big Parking Area in a field to the Left past the allotments.
