Hi folks,

Has anyone been down the N-232 recently? Last year it was a WIP has it been finished? What's the weather situ? It can be snow bound this time of year?

We're arriving next week, it's either the N-232 or the Teruel M-Way... Much longer

Cheers

Gerry n Anne

I camped, in a tent, just off the N232 on my way to Morella a few years ago. It snowed quite heavily higher up on the 232 but there was nothing in Morella. Wasnt heavy enough to stop traffic, of which there was very little until Morella.
If you've time and haven't done it before, I'd take an hour or two out to visit Amposta and head out to the Ebro delta national park. If you're looking for a nice place to eat, theres a wee village about 20km away from Morella called Castel de Cabres. I can recommend the La Espiga restaurant there. There are nice places in Morella to eat but this is nice and quiet and the food is delicious and the owners are lovely

We drove over that way a few months ago. There are some diversions onto new stretches of road. The "old" road bits are still the same. No problem for motorhomes, driven correctly ?.

Thanks Judith, we do it most years, but we got snowed off 2 years ago and had to stop in Alcañiz for a night until the snow ploughs had cleared it. Last year we didn't risk it and took the Teruel road but it's an extra 100kms to where we want to get to.

However the road works and new bridges should make it much easier but they weren't completed last year. So I'm really looking for up-to-date info.

There is, actually a new motorhome parking/service area, which is now completely bypassed by the new road!!!

We used this in early October. A stretch of new road had been opened in March 2019 north of Morella and I thought there was at least 15k of fantastic road and bridges and tunnels exactly where the Michelin map showed dangerous road! South of Morella had a lot of twisty stuff I did not like greatly but the road was perfectly passable. This was the first time we had been that way as we had previously gone A23 towards Sagunt then north to Alcossebre.
I saw plenty of road works south of Morella but could not judge how close, if at all, those stretched were to opening. We are planning to go in February so if you go that way, an update would be good. We did stop at Morella aire but the flies were a pain - I doubt you would have that trouble now.

Theres a facebook page called
N332.
Might be worth putting the question on there.

Will update you Sunday, all being well.

I'm in Pau tomorrow, will hit Morella Saturday all being well.

Alcossebre Sunday for few weeks.

Gerry
