Hello all - we very recently acquired a 2017 plate Burstner based on the Ducato platform. I missed this when inspecting the vehicle but we have found an open aperture in the console under the dashboard - in days of old I would have said it could have been for an ashtray but I somehow doubt that in a 2017 van! There are a couple of pictures attached - one of the whole console and a close-up of the mystery hole. Can anybody out there with a Ducato based van advise as to what should be there? Thanks in advance. John

It's a mobile phone holder.

Mine has a connection there where phone connects to the head unit.

Thank you Andy! I tried to find a picture on the web but lost the will to live! It does indeed look like we are missing the USB and Aux connections to the head unit which is a bit odd but at least I now know what should be there. PS - from your user name it looks like you might have another 4-wheeled interest?

Had a blanking plate on our 2015 Ducato Burstner. I removed it and put in a dual USB socket powered from the 12v cigarette lighter socket. The pocket below it I store my phone in.

The USB connector to the media centre is in the passenger glove box on top of the dash. We have three usb sticks in there with our favourite albums on. Not sure about the AUX connection. May be in there too.

Thanks Steve - we also have the USB in the dash-top glove box so likely that we are just missing the blanking plate.

Some have a blank, and I believe you can buy the insert for connections

Ours has a USB connection in there to the Radio for a usb stick to play MP3 s etc
The whole front console comes off with just three screws, one under the centre of the cup holders and one each side of the console under plastic covers.
