Hi Guys

just got my first van and N+B Arto 69GL... it has "air suspension"... I assume this is on rear wheels only?

Also there is a gauge and taps thing in the garage... I assume this is for adjusting height?... What are the panels recommendations... as a complete newbie I am tempted to do nothing... but I do love a fiddle :)

It will be air assist. The original suspension is still in use and is assisted by the air units - they're like bellows that replace the bump stops. Using the Schraeder valve you can pump them up individually or together by opening the valve(s). You can lower the pressure by pressing the pin in the Schraeder valve with the valve(s) open.

A suitable setting can be found between 20psi and 50psi so you'll need to experiment. The only rule is don't run them too soft - keep them above 15psi or so.

My kit requires the pressure to be at least 0.5 bar and a the maximum is 4 bar. I found that running them at 1.8 bar works best for my motorhome - but it's trial and error. Too hard and the back end will bounce all over the place (and be very noisy) - too soft and the motorhome will wallow when cornering.

Hi we have an Arto GL 2004 with the Air Assist and run it at 50 PSI and have done so for the last 7 years without any problems

We fitted this to our previous arto.

If you have 2 separate taps you can also use them to take out some of the lean when parked. close the lowest one and let down the highest one. Just make sure you have a pump to reinflate them afterwards.

There is a uk N&B club which has lots of make specific advice.
