if you look through the windows of my van whilst it is on the drive, even at night as there is a streetlight outside, you can plainly see the disklok, alarm light flashing and extra internal door locks and yet at 1am this morning somebody rammed something into the passenger door lock and unlocked the door :madder:
the door was never going to open more than a couple of mm anyway but as soon as the lock was opened the alarm was triggered
anyone know if there is a kit/part so i can remove the external door lock unit (fiat 2003) and replace with a blank disc of metal, never use the key door lock anyway....always use the alarm fob to get in

I may be mistaken... I'm almost certain that a door that cannot be opened is an MOT failure nowadays. It maybe if only not "openable" from within ..?
Worth checking . ?

From my understanding, the OP wants to remove the lock, NOT the handle/opening device.

No handle is an mot failure, but no lock is ok. Well until remote battery goes flat ??

great that the alarm did its stuff, my Ducato does not have a key opener in the passenger door exterior not an mot fail.
